MARK PAYTON

Mark Payton is a senior director with more than 40 years’ experience in strategic planning facilitation and development, market and competitor intelligence gathering and analysis, executive policy briefings, performance improvement, project management, and organizational development.

 

Prior to joining Seale & Associates, Mr. Payton was Senior Vice President, Corporate Strategy and Development, for SNC Lavalin Group, where he was responsible for leading strategy development and acquisition analysis for this $5 billion engineering, and construction firm active in global Infrastructure, Operations & Maintenance, Nuclear, Renewables, Oil & Gas and Mining markets.

 

Mr. Payton joined SNC Lavalin through its acquisition of Kentz where he was Group Strategy Development Officer responsible for strategic planning, market analysis and M&A activities. He worked closely with the global business units to achieve strategic objectives.

 

Before joining Kentz, he led strategy development, marketing and acquisition activities for Mustang Engineering. While at Mustang, he set up and provided strategic oversight to offices in Australia, UK, and Saudi Arabia.

 

Mark’s experience also includes 15 years running his own specialty strategy and market research consulting business, where he conducted and managed consulting assignments globally for engineering and construction companies in the oil and gas, refining and chemicals, power, industrial, and infrastructure markets.

 

He began his career with MW Kellogg, where he managed strategy and market research.

 

Mr. Payton received his Master’s in International Business from Thunderbird School of Global Management (1979) (now part of Arizona State University)

And has a Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations from the University of Arizona
